SHAMUS AWARDS

The Private Eye Writers of America (PWA) is proud to announce the winners for the 26th annual Shamus Awards, given annually to recognize outstanding achievement in private eye fiction. The 2007 awards cover works published in the U.S. in 2006. The awards were presented on September 28, 2007, at the Private Eye Writers of America banquet in Anchorage, Alaska, during the weekend of the Bouchercon World Mystery Convention.

2007 Shamus Awards Winners and Nominees

The Eye (for lifetime achievement): Stuart M. Kaminsky, creator of Toby Peter and Lew Fonesca among others

The Hammer (for a memorable private eye character or series):
